Last Friday on a Guardian mailing, I found a Talk Talk video. I couldn’t link it here, but this week I got to sorting some of my cds (it says something for me that I gain enjoyment out of this) and rediscovered this. Sublime.
This group and this person were hugely influential in helping me appreciate that music could be so much more than ‘3 chords and the truth’. Even now as I hear this again, it causes me to revolt at much homogenised, industrialised musical pap that is out there.
